AQARAT Real Estate Development company (a subsidiary of Omar Kassem Alesayi Group Companies) Won the  bid to invest and develop the scheme of Crown Prince number "6" grant in Makkah Al Mukarramah, the development contract was signed with His Excellency the Secretary of the Holy City  on 22/03/2009 p.m. within Makkah exhibition for  Real Estate & construction 2009. Engineer Abdul Hadi Al-Rasheedi the Executive Director of AQARAT Real Estate Development Co. said to the "economic,", that the company had applied its bid to win the development of the scheme, which been announced by the Secretariat of the Holy City for the private sector to develop, which is an area of approximately 3,500 million m2, and contains 2500 plots. Al-Rasheedi explained that the process of development include asphalting, paving and lighting, and the project contains 19 masjed (mosque), 16 schools, 4 kindergartens, 11 facilities, 4 shopping centers, general hospital, and about 58 investment commercial sites, parks, green space area of 125,000 m2 approx., explaining that the completion of the scheme development, where the average area of the residential plots is   600 m2    will be 12 months after the date of signing the contract, Al- Rasheedi added: "To put up the housing grants schemes for the private sector and open the door to participation in the rehabilitation of those sites that were still without no services for tens of years, is a positive step to the  favor of  the Secretariat of the Holy City, which is one of the initiatives undertaken by the Secretariat to begin processing grant schemes in all infrastructure services, which will reflect positively on the beneficiaries of the citizens after the rapid development of services to the public, including plots of land granted to them, "pointing out that the national companies which initiative for the development of such schemes are always looking to provide service to the citizen out of responsibility and duties towards the nation without considering the profits as a key objective and without cause by the loss in general. Al-Rasheedi invited the secretariats of the cities in the Kingdom to benefit from the experience of the Holy City secretariat  with regard to the development of scholarship schemes, assuring that in some cities there are still grants for more than 20 years have not benefited their granted citizens, because they are located in areas not residentially serviced with services needed related to infrastructure, aware that the percentage allocated to the private sector towards the development of the grant schemes is somewhat meaningful in operational terms, especially in light of competition between national companies to carry out the development of those projects, pointing out that its profits are very low and the payback is limited to the physical developer , the Holy City secretariat is one of the first secretariats that have adopted a new approach represent in develop housing schemes for low-income by the private sector in return for a share of the total area of the scheme, as the secretariat applied this approach in the scheme No. (5) of the Crown schemes and there was demand for investment, and then began to circulate the experience on other schemes before distribution to low-income, confirming that the development of schemes by the private sector will lead to the recovery schemes and the rapid urban renaissance in it.
